I have been holding cameras for quite some time now. Although it was not until recent years that I came to use photography more as a creative outlet, I have been practicing on and off since the beginning of the century.
Art classes during my a-levels provided a good foundation for understanding the essentials of the old masters and their tools of trade. However, a combination with information technologies and application of contemporary design and style trends influenced my work towards the simple and modern direction I pursue today.
Looking back, my early works were strongly influenced by the youthful need for self-expression and contained a lot of attempts on reaching a deeper meaning. Although a lot of them got lost over time, I have selected some which can be found in the Artistic category. I would argue that increased mastery of cameras and the field of photography has pushed me into exploring other fields like model and commercial photography, but probably the rationalism following maturing has taken its toll likewise.
